Actually, I think it's mainly because it reminds me of a part in a game that I've seen... but nevermind that.
The usage of light in this photograph is crucial. The way it is captured indeed only illuminates part of the cave, which is what gives it's eerie effect.
I really like how the picture is captured with the left of the wall looking like a sheen of clearness with the emphasis on shadows and the hidden.
I gave this a Originality of 4.5/5 because I really love the composure. It really is original. If you imagine what a photographer has to go through to get to a cave like this, you will appreciate the effort taken through this photo.
Technique I gave 3/5 because I honestly think it couldn't been a bit better. The light in the center is overly glaring. Somehow I think it would've been better with a higher shutter speed to make the floor even darker and the center less glaring. Or in this case, maybe even a bit of photoshop touch up (I'm assuming you possibly edit a bit?).
Impact I gave 4.5/5 because the first thing you do when you see this photograph is "OMG FULL-SCREEN PLEASE". I think the impact is quite huge. When you first see the image you get many mixed feelings... and hence comes the "impact"
Overall it's really well done. I'll give it an overall score of 4/5.
